Local Taxi Rider Attacked after Denying to Puchase Illegal Drugs in Rawai

A local taxi rider was injured, being stabbed with a knife, near a pier in Rawai after refusing an offer to buy illegal drugs from a male suspect.

The Phuket City District Office told the Phuket Express that they and the Chalong Police have investigated after the incident as the victim filed a report to police. Police checked CCTV footage before launching a sting operation and asked to buy methamphetamine pills from the suspect.

However, the suspect escaped police but left 108 methamphetamine pills. Police are still hunting for the suspect for further legal action. The names of the suspect and victim were withheld by relevant police.
