UPDATE: Phuket Crocodile Caught After Five Days of Hunting – VIDEO

A crocodile which was spotted in a lagoon in Pa Klok was caught after five days of hunting.

Our previous story:

A video clip and a photo of something similar to a crocodile in a lagoon in the Baan Para went viral on social media on Wednesday (July 31st).The crocodile hunting was immediately launched.

Now for the update:

After five days of hunting, at 6:00 A.M. on Monday (August 5th) the crocodile was caught by the crocodile expert team ‘Krai Thong’ from the Surat Thani Fisheries Office.

The head of the team, Mr. Nikhom Suksawat, told the Phuket Express that she is a teenage female saltwater crocodile, about 2.45 meters long and weighs about 70 kilograms. The crocodile is healthy but believed to have wandered from her natural habitat.

The Phuket Fisheries Office Chief Mr. Prayut Rattanawan told the Phuket Express “The crocodile is named ‘Para’ according to the area she was found. The crocodile was taken to the Phuket Fisheries Office. If any possible owner of the crocodile does not contact them, the crocodile will belong to Phuket and be moved safely to a wide life preservation area.
