The Phuket Governor is inviting people to join the Phuket Lobster Festival 2024 which is being held this month in Rawai.
The Phuket Governor Sophon Suwannarat and Phuket Vice Governor Mr. Norasak Suksomboon joined the festival with other prestigious guests and dignitaries. There are more than 500 dishes of lobster from more than 100 restaurants at the festival.
Governor Sophon said the festival is aimed to support the program called “Phuket City of Gastronomy”. Lobster is one of the highlight dishes in the campaign and the price of these dishes is not so expensive due to it currently being low season in Phuket.
The festival is also designed to boost Phuket tourism during monsoon season.
Rawai is the area in the south of Phuket where tourists usually like to order fresh lobster to cook. Phuket lobster is a seafood dish that is important for the Phuket economy.
The festival is being held from August 1st to August 31st, 2024. The governor is inviting people to taste Phuket lobster at the festival.
