Motorbike Rider Dies After Being Run Over by Trailer Truck in Thalang

A motorbike rider was pronounced dead at the scene after being run over by a trailer truck in Thep Krasattri.

The Thalang Police were notified of the accident at 9:10 A.M. on Thursday (August 1st) on the Thep Krasattri Road southbound lane in the Thap Krasattri sub-district. They and rescue workers arrived at the scene to find the damaged motorbike in the middle of the road. Nearby, they found the body of Mr. Kittisak Chueachart, 39, from Phang Nga.

The trailer truck was found nearby. The uninjured driver, Mr. Tanuphat Changchom, 48, was waiting for police at the scene.

Witnesses told police that the motorbike rider lost control before being run over by the truck which was coming from the rear.

However it was unclear if the motorbike had possibly been hit by another vehicle before the rider lost control. Police are checking CCTV footage for further possible legal action and to determine the exact sequence of events.
