Illegal Cigarette Shop Raided in Phuket Town

An illegal cigarette shop was raided in Phuket Town but the prime suspect escaped.

The Phuket City Police told the Phuket Express that on Wednesday (July 31st) they raided a shop on the Anupas Phuket Karn Road in Talad Yai. Police seized more than 2,000 boxes of unpaid tax foreign brand cigarettes such as JOHN BLACK, GOLD MOINT, VX, and MIILANO. The items are valued in total over a hundred thousand Baht, said police.

However, the main suspect managed to escape from the shop before officers arrived. Police are hunting for the suspect as of press time.
