UPDATE: Body of Missing Chinese Man Found on Phuket Beach

A Chinese man who went missing at Karon Beach was tragically found dead on the Freedom Beach in Karon on Monday (July 29th).

Our previous story:

The Karon Tourist Police were notified of the incident from Chinese tourists. They told the police that their friend Mr. Qin Yuen, 27, a Chinese national, had gone missing in the sea on Thursday (July 25th). The search for the Chinese man continued for four days by the Kata-Karon lifeguards and the Royal Thai Navy.

Now for the update:

The Karon Police were notified of the discovery of the body on Monday morning (July 29th). They and rescue workers arrived at the beach to find the body of an Asian man who is believed to be the missing Chinese man from four days ago. The body was taken to a hospital for a final identification and confirmation.
