Tour Boat in Rassada Caught Releasing Black Substance into Sea – VIDEO

Rassada – A tour boat at a pier in Rassada was captured on video releasing a black substance into the sea, sparking widespread concern on social media.

The video clip, which went viral on Tuesday, July 23rd, shows the boat discharging the substance while docked at the pier. The incident prompted an immediate response from the Phuket Marine Office.

An unidentified representative from the boatyard presented themselves to the Phuket Marine Office after viewing the video. They explained that the boat was attempting to dock for maintenance and that the driver had to accelerate the engine to avoid colliding with nearby boats. This maneuver resulted in soot being, according to them, accidentally being released into the sea.

The representative clarified that the black substance was not oil, as speculated on social media, but soot. Despite this, the Phuket Marine Office has ordered the suspension of the boat’s operations until necessary repairs are completed.
