At 10:00 AM, on July 14th, 2024, Phuket local media reported heavy rain and strong winds across Thalang, Mueang Phuket, and Kathu districts, causing damage to residents’ properties.

In Thalang District, a large tree fell due to the strong winds, damaging properties in Moo 2, Pa Khlok Subdistrict. Thalang police found four electric poles had collapsed and seven vehicles including six pickup trucks and one six-wheeled truck were damaged by the fallen tree near a parcel delivery company.

In Mueang Phuket District, numerous trees fell onto local residences along Damrong Road, while in Kathu District, trees were found fallen along the Bang Wat Dam. Additionally, in Chalong Subdistrict, several house roofs were blown away by the wind. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Phuket’s police chief, Pol. Col. Nikorn Chuthong, instructed local officers to assess the damages and provide assistance. Emergency services were dispatched to clear the debris and secure the affected areas.
