Karon –
A fire destroyed the Karon Night Plaza. No injuries were reported but the cost of damage is being estimated at 40 million Baht.
Firefighters from the Karon Municipality were notified of the fire from vendors at 1:15 A.M. on Saturday (July 13th) early in the morning at the Karon Night Plaza in Karon, Mueang Phuket district.
Firefighters arrived with multiple fire engines at the plaza to find the fire was already heavily ablaze. It took about half an hour to control the fire.
No injuries were reported but in total 34 shops in the plaza were destroyed by the fire.
The cost of the total damage is being estimated at 40 million Baht. The Forensic Police are still investigating the cause of the fire as of press time.
