Alleged Unwanted Intrusion by Ride-Hailing Driver in Patong Sparks Investigation

Patong, Phuket-

A 25-year-old female customer reported an unsettling experience with a ride-hailing driver in Patong.

She booked a ride from Phuket Town to her room in Patong, according to her statement. Upon arriving at her destination, she went to sleep. However, at 3:00 A.M., she woke up to allegedly find the driver in her room. The driver had entered without permission, was lying on her bed, and playing with her cat. She quickly left her bed, and the driver eventually left the room.

The 30-year-old male driver, whose name was not released by Patong Police, claimed that the customer was very drunk during the ride and that he had helped her inside the room. He waited for her to wake up after arriving at her room and helped carry her belongings inside the room.

He left the door open to prevent any suspicion of theft. The police are investigating the incident for potential legal action.
