Driver Injured in Phuket Truck Collision

Phuket City, June 28th — A pickup truck driver sustained injuries after colliding with a parked trailer truck in Rassada, Phuket City. The accident occurred on the Chalerm Phrakiet Rama Road (Bypass Road) near a gas station at 5:40 A.M.

Emergency responders and the Phuket Express arrived at the scene to find the damaged pickup truck behind the stationary trailer truck. Mr. Thongchai Raesan, a 38-year-old bank staffer, was taken to the hospital with various injuries.

The trailer truck driver, Mr. Eakkachai Mekwongfah (56), remained unharmed. He had parked the truck at 5:00 P.M. the previous day and was sleeping inside, awaiting his journey to Nakhon Si Thammarat. Phuket City Police are continuing their investigation to determine any necessary legal actions.
