Man Arrested in Rassada Selling Illegal Cigarettes

A Thai man was arrested in Rassada after he was found selling illegal cigarettes.

Officials from the Phuket Provincial Administrative Office told the Phuket Express that over the past weekend they inspected a shop at a rental room on the Rassada Nusorn Road in the Baan Kuku, Phuket City with a search warrant issued from the Phuket Provincial Court.

They arrested a Thai man. Seized from him were 25 E-cigarettes and 4,958 pieces of unpaid tax cigarettes. The Phuket Express noted that officers did not reveal personal details of the Thai man.

He was taken to the Phuket City Police Station to face charges of violating the ban on the sale of any electronic cigarettes and vaping liquid products, working without legal permission, and selling unpaid tax cigarettes.
