Sea Turtle Stuck in Fishing Net Rescued on Beach in Patong

A sea turtle stuck in some fishing nets was rescued on a beach in Patong on Thursday (June 13th).

The head of the Patong lifeguards Mr. Somprasong Sangchart told the Phuket Express that in the morning they found a sea turtle stuck in a fishing net on Kalim Beach. They helped to remove the fishing net from the sea turtle.

They then called the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR). Some wounds were found on the turtle. It was taken to the Marine and Coastal Resources Center (Upper Andaman Sea) for medical treatment.
