Sea Turtle Lays 88 Eggs on Beach in Phang Nga

A green sea turtle laid 88 eggs on a beach in the Similan National Park area.

A Mu Ko Similan National park staffer told the Phuket Express that they found the tracks of a mother sea turtle on a beach in the national park area on Tuesday morning (June 4th).

Eventually they found the sea turtle’s nest. In the nest they found 88 green turtle eggs. The eggs were relocated to a safe area on the beach. The nest is also being protected from the weather and other animals. The park officials stated that the baby sea turtles should hatch in about 60 days.
