A fire gutted an abandoned house in a housing estate in Rawai.
Fire fighters from the Rawai Municipality were notified of the fire after midnight last week at a housing estate in Soi Sao Soad (Single Lady).
They arrived at the scene with a fire engine to find lots of smoke where the fire was ablaze. It took about two hours to control the fire which did not spread to nearby houses.
No injuries werr reported. The cause of the fire is believed to have been started by homeless people who might have set some small fires before the blaze spread out and caught fire to the abandoned home.
