Tremors Felt After Earthquake Reports on Samui Island

A small earthquake was reported on Thursday morning (May 30th) on Samui Island in Surat Thani with tremors felt by some residents.

The Earthquake Observation Division in the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) reported at 08:25 A.M. of an earthquake in the Ang Thong sub-district, Koh Samui district.

The earthquake was at 2.4 on the Richter’s Scale at about four kilometers deep. No damage was immediately reported. Tremors were felt by some residents on the island.
