UPDATE: Loan Sharks Arrested after Attacking a Local Restaurant in Thalang

Loan sharks were arrested after attacking a local restaurant in Sri Sunthorn.

Our previous story:

Ms. Phon (alias), 42, filed a report to the police. She told police that there were two men wearing full helmets on a motorbike that stopped in front of her local restaurant on the Thep Krasattri Road on Thursday (may 23rd). One of them allegedly damaged her food in the restaurant and the cost of damages was about 1,000 baht.

Now for the update:

On Saturday, May 25th, the Region 8 Police informed the Phuket Express of the arrest of two individuals: Mr. Natthaphon Leelachawanon, aged 28, apprehended in Soi Patak 9, Karon, and Mr. Sitthiwat Janchoo, aged 30, detained at an apartment in Wichit.

The suspects confessed to being commissioned by Mr. Narong ‘Yai’ Prateep Na Thalang for a sum of 3,000 Baht. Subsequent to their admission, Mr. Narong was arrested in Chumphon. All parties were escorted to the Thalang Police Station. Mr. Natthaphon and Mr. Sitthiwat are currently facing allegations of property damage and issuing threats, while Mr. Narong is charged with conducting an illegal loan operation with excessive interest rates.
