Koh Kaew, Phuket-

In the early hours of Friday morning (May 24th), a dramatic accident occurred at Koh Kaew Junction. A pickup truck driver miraculously survived after colliding with a modified car.

The incident was reported to the Phuket City Police at 2:10 A.M. Emergency responders rushed to the southbound lane of Thep Krasattri Road, where they discovered the wrecked pickup. The driver, identified only as 46-year-old Mr. Dulayapat, was trapped inside his vehicle. Using a hydraulic cutter, rescue workers extricated him from the wreckage, and he was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment. Nearby, the modified car was located about fifty meters from the collision site.

The unidentified modified car driver, while speaking to the Phuket Express, recounted that he was en route from Bangkok to Phuket Town. He had stopped at a red light when the pickup truck crashed into his vehicle from behind.

Phuket City Police officials informed the Phuket Express that alcohol tests were administered to both drivers as part of the investigation and subsequent legal proceedings.
