Drunk British Motorbike Rider Arrested with Methamphetamine in Patong

Patong –

An intoxicated British motorbike rider was found with methamphetamine in Patong on Friday (May 24th).

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that they had set up a checkpoint near the Dolphin Roundabout on the Taweewong Road in Patong. At 4:00 A.M. in the morning, an unidentified 34 year-old British man was stopped at the checkpoint.

He was found in possession of an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine. He was taken to the Patong Police Station to face charges of illegal possession of a category 1 drug and drunk driving.

The Phuket Express noted that the Patong Police did not reveal the British man’s name and the amount of the illegal drug.
