Patong –
An intoxicated male foreigner was arrested after he caused a public nuisance in Patong, say relevant law enforcement agencies.
The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that late last week they were notified by local residents that an intoxicated Caucasian foreigner was annoying both locals and tourists and causing a public scene. They arrived in front of a restaurant on the Taweewong Road near the Dolphin Roundabout.
The unidentified foreign man was unable to control himself and resisted arrest. He tried to fight Patong law enforcement officers but police were finally able to subdue him. The suspect was taken to the Patong Police Station to face charges of intoxication and causing a public disturbance.
The Phuket Express noted police had not released the suspect’s name, age, or nationality as of press time. Additionally, police mentioned that the foreign man was unable to communicate as he was too intoxicated and had no documentation on him and was described as extremely uncooperative with police.
