Thalang Police Seize Illegal Firearms and Ammunition from Local Man

Thalang District, Phuket – In a significant operation, Thalang District Police apprehended a local man following the confiscation of an arsenal of five firearms and twenty-two rounds of ammunition.

The arrest was confirmed by officials from the Thalang Police Department to The Phuket Express. Earlier this week, law enforcement officers detained Mr. Ammarin ‘Eak’ Khanithanam at his residence in the Thap Krasattri area. The police action was predicated on a credible tip-off indicating Mr. Khanithanam’s propensity to carry firearms. Additionally, the residence reportedly attracted frequent visits from numerous suspicious adolescents.

Upon interrogation, Mr. Khanithanam conceded to the possession of multiple firearms located at his domicile and another nearby property. The suspect acknowledged ownership of the entire cache of weapons, which included four artisanal handguns, a pen gun, and a variety of ammunition.

After the seizure, Mr. Khanithanam was escorted to the Thalang Police Station, where he faced allegations pertaining to the unauthorized possession of firearms and ammunition.

It is noteworthy that the Thalang Police have ascertained that Mr. Khanithanam has no prior criminal infractions.
