Five Vendors Arrested with 205 Illegal Cigarettes and E-Cigarettes in Patong

Officers arrested five Thai vendors on the Bangla Road and Patong Beach, with a total of 205 e-cigarettes and illegal cigarettes seized.

Phuket Administrative Officers told the Phuket Express that on Tuesday (May 14th) they arrested a total of five Thai suspects. They were found selling e-cigarettes and illegal cigarettes (with unpaid tax) on Bangla Road and on Patong Beach.

Seized from them were a total of 166 e-cigarettes and 39 illegal cigarettes (with unpaid tax). They were taken to Patong Police Station. The names of those arrested were not released to the press.

They are facing charges of violating the ban on the sale of any electronic cigarettes and vaping liquid products, as well as the illegal importation or possession of goods that are untaxed, restricted, or prohibited.
