Two Dugongs Found Dead on Phang Nga Beach

Two dugongs were found dead on a beach in Mueang Phang Nga district on Saturday (May 11th).

The Phang Nga Fishery Office told the Phuket Express that they were notified from local residents that two dugongs were found dead on a beach in the Baan Mak Noi area in the Koh Panyee sub-district.

They arrived at the beach to find two female dugongs. One was 3.5 meters long and the other was 2.5 meters long. The two dugongs were taken to the Sireetarn Marine Endangered Animals Rescue Center to find out their exact cause of death.
