Phuket Governor Stops to Help Injured Woman Involved in Motorbike Accident in Thalang

The Phuket Governor and his wife stopped to help a woman who was injured from a motorbike accident in Thep Krasattri.

On Monday (April 29th) the Phuket Governor Sophon Suwannarat and his wife the President of the Phuket Red Cross Association Mrs. Bussadee Suwannrat were driving to normal work-related matters in a sedan. He asked his driver to stop the sedan immediately when he saw the accident on the main Thep Krasattri Road (No.402).

Emergency responders and police had not arrived when the governor stopped his vehicle. The unidentified motorbike driver who had sustained injuries told the governor that she was coming from Phan Nga heading to the Phuket Provincial Court in Phuket Town. She had reportedly taken some medicine for depression and sleeping pill(s) before riding the motorbike. The injured woman was taken to a nearby hospital.

The Phuket Governor was widely praised on Thai social media for assisting at the scene.
