Multiple-Vehicle Collision on Thepkasattri Road in Phuket Leaves Four People Injured

Phuket—

At 1:10 AM, on April 21st, 2024, Thalang police officers received a multiple-vehicle collision report from locals on Thepkasattri Road, Thalang, Phuket.

Thalang emergency services and police officers were dispatched to the accident scene and found a white truck and a passenger van in severe condition after having collided with a roadside street light. Nearby, an ambulance from Mission Hospital Phuket was parked on the roadside at the accident scene and had traces of a crash at the front of the vehicle.


However, an unidentified patient, in the ambulance, was reportedly unharmed by the collision and was immediately transferred to Mission Hospital Phuket for a prior medical emergency.

As a result of the accident, there were four injuries in total including the van driver and three individuals from the white truck who were later transferred to Mission Hospital Phuket and Thalang Hospital. The accident scene was reported to have a sharp curve and pouring rain.

Mr. Sakchai Bunrat, an ambulance driver from Mission Hospital Phuket, told the police that the paramedic team was delivering a patient to Mission Hospital Phuket. However, the passenger van had an accident colliding at the street light. Sakchai then parked the vehicle nearby and turned on the siren.

While assisting the wounded from the passenger van, Sakchai heard a loud sound of the white truck breaking from afar before slightly hitting the ambulance and colliding with the passenger van. Fortunately, no paramedic was harmed by the accident.
