Now for the update:
Governor Sophon firmly stated, “The accusation of assaulting the doctor is currently under judicial review. We can categorically confirm that there have been no attempts by any party to aid Mr. David, the suspect and Swiss expat, in this matter, nor has there been any offer of money to the doctor to dismiss the case, contrary to the rumors. Our officials are committed to their duties and will uphold transparency throughout the legal process. Consistent updates on the case will be provided to the Ministry of the Interior and Anutin Charnvirakul himself, the Minister of the Interior and Deputy Prime Minister.”
In a related matter, Mr. URS BEAT FEHR, also known as Mr. David, has sought legal recourse over the revocation of his visa. The Immigration Office is presently evaluating his appeal, which is expected to undergo review shortly.
Anutin has pledged to personally watch this case and promised to veto any such appeal if it was approved, stating that he believed Mr. David was a threat to Thai society and that it was under his authority as Minister of the Interior to reject any appeal.
The governor’s remarks aim to reassure the public and stakeholders that the legal proceedings are being handled with integrity and without undue influence. This case has garnered significant attention, and the authorities are keen on maintaining public trust in the legal system’s impartiality.
