Foreign Passenger Attempts Knife Attack on Phuket Taxi Driver-VIDEO

Phuket-

In Phuket, a female foreign passenger carrying a knife allegedly attempted to assault a female taxi driver.

Update as of the evening of April 4th: The suspect has now been arrested.

The incident was captured in a viral video circulating on social media earlier this week. According to the person who shared the clip, the taxi driver was dropping off the unidentified foreign passenger in Pa Klok, but she refused to exit the vehicle.

The passenger initially requested to be taken to Patong, and upon arrival, she then changed her destination to Rawai. However, when they reached the final stop, she refused to pay the taxi fare. In a desperate move, she retrieved a knife from a nearby hotel and threatened the taxi driver.

The taxi driver, whose identity has been withheld for her privacy, has issued a warning to fellow drivers about such unruly passengers who demand multiple destinations without paying for the fare. Details about the tourist and the driver remain undisclosed.

Police are reportedly looking into the incident and searching for the passenger whose nationality and identity has been disputed and described as both Portuguese and Ukrainian.

Another threatening issue with a tourist also took place in Phuket this week as we reported here.
