Driver Severely Injured after Pickup Truck Crash in Thalang

A driver has sustained serious injuries after a pickup truck crashed in Thalang on Monday (April 1st).

Captain Thitiwat Arsasing of the Thalang Police was notified of the accident at 1:50 A.M. on the Thep Krasattri Road southbound near the Heroines Monument in Sri Soonthorn sub-district.

Emergency responders and the Phuket Express arrived at the scene to find the damaged pickup truck on the road. On the central reservation they found the damaged palm tree and the milestone. The injured victim, Mr. Daecha Poesrisung, 34, was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Witnesses told police that the pickup truck driver was driving at high speed before losing control and crashing into the central reservation.

The Thalang Police said the pickup truck driver will face at least reckless driving charges causing government property damage.
