Illegal Myanmar Workers Arrested at Construction Sites in Thalang

Thalang, Phuket-

On Wednesday, March 27th, authorities arrested two illegal Myanmar workers during inspections at construction sites in the Sri Soonthorn sub-district.

The Phuket Provincial Administrative Office conducted checks at four construction sites in the Baan Ya and Baan Bang Jo areas between 9:00 A.M. and midday. A total of 154 documents related to migrant workers were reviewed.

The two individuals found to be illegal included one who was staying in the country without proper authorization and another who was working without the necessary permits. Additionally, an employer faced charges for hiring a worker without a legal work permit. However, specific details about the employer, employees, and construction sites were not disclosed by relevant Thalang officials.
