The Phuket City Police were alerted by the Vachira Phuket Hospital when the victim, identified only as Mr. Diew, was admitted with a gunshot wound to his foot.

According to the police report, Mr. Diew was injured during an altercation that involved firearms and Molotov cocktails. The bridge, located in the Talad Nuea sub-district, became a crime scene where police later found evidence of the skirmish, including broken glass fragments.
