Woman Arrested with Baraku at Restaurant in Cherng Talay

A female restaurant manager was arrested with seven sets of Baraku seized in Cherng Talay, Thalang.

The Thalang District Officers raided a restaurant in Cherng Talay earlier this week. Many foreign customers were found using Baraku. The restaurant manager who was identified by officers only as Ms. I (alias) was arrested with seven sets of ready to use Baraku and other items used for Baraku were seized. She was then taken to the Cherng Talay Police Station.

She is facing charges of possession of unpaid tax tobacco and illegally selling forbidden imported items (Baraku and e-cigarettes). The name of the bar manager and the bar was not released by officers. Shisha, or Baraku, is illegal in Thailand.
