Man Arrested Selling E-cigarettes in Chalong

Chalong –

A Thai man was arrested after he was found selling e-cigarettes in Chalong.

The Chalong Police told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they arrested a suspect identified only as Mr. Rachen at a house in Chalong. He was found selling e-cigarettes in the house. Police then seized e-cigarettes from him. Mr. Rachen reportedly admitted to police that all the items seized belong to him.

He was taken to the Chalong Police Station to face charges of violating the ban on the sale of any electronic cigarettes and vaping liquid products, as well as the illegal importation or possession of goods that are untaxed, restricted, or prohibited.

The Chalong Police noted that this arrest was from a tip-off by concerned citizens who shared a photo of the home on social media.
