Three Russians Arrested for Allegedly Operating Beauty Clinic on Samui Island

Two Russian women and a Russian man were arrested after they were allegedly operating an illegal beauty clinic on the Samui Island.

The Surat Thani Immigration Officer told the Phuket Express that on Thursday (March 7th) they and the Surat Thani Provincial Public Health Officials inspected a beauty clinic in the Bo Phut sub-district on Samui Island. The clinic was not legally registered, according to Surat Thani officials.

Ms. LILIIA, 32, and Mr. Alexandr, 35, Russian national, were found inside the clinic. Ms. LILIIA told officers that she was contacted by Ms. YULIA, a Russian national who is the owner of the clinic. Ms. YULIA hired her as a beauty expert and a manager of the clinic. Officers found that the QR code payment in the clinic shows Ms. YULIA’s name. The suspects were taken to the Bo Phut Police Station.

Ms. YULIA is facing charges of operating a medical clinic without permission. Ms. LILIIA is facing charges of working without legal permission. Mr. ALEXANDR had a work permit but is facing charges of working outside of his legal work permit description.
