Belarusian Man Rescued After Getting Lost in Phuket Jungle

Thalang, Phuket-

On Monday (March 4th), the Phuket Tourist Police received a distress call from a Belarusian man who had become lost in a jungle near Nai Thon Beach, located in the Sakoo sub-district.

The man explained that he had arrived in Thailand the previous month and had been staying in Bangkok. On March 3rd, he traveled to Phuket and checked into a hotel near Nai Yang Beach in Sakoo.

However, on Monday, after checking out of his hotel, he decided to explore Layan Beach in Cherng Talay. Armed with a map, he set off for a walk. Unfortunately, around 6:00 P.M., he realized he was lost and attempted to find his way out. As the hours passed, he grew increasingly concerned and eventually called for help.

Thankfully, the Sakoo Police and rescue workers swiftly located him in the jungle near Nai Thon Beach and safely rescued him at 5:30 A.M. on Tuesday (March 5th). His solo adventure had an unexpected twist, but he emerged unharmed, albeit a little wiser about jungle navigation!

The name and age of the man was not released to The Phuket Express.
