Seven Thai Tourists Rescued After Boat Capsizes in Krabi

Krabi –

Seven Thai tourists have been rescued after a boat capsized in Ao Nang.

The Ao Nang Police told the Phuket Express that on Sunday (February 11th), a long-tailed boat capsized 300 meters from Hong Island.

The Ao Nang Police were informed by the Than Bok Khorani National Park that the boat was carrying a total of nine Thai tourists on a fishing trip. It was initially falsely reported on social media that they were Chinese tourists. Two of the nine people ended up being crew members.

The boat was hit by large waves before it capsized. Another fishing boat rescued all of the people on board. No injuries or deaths were reported.

The names of the captain and crew member were not released by relevant authorities and it was unclear if any legal action would be taken against them for the accident.
