Polish Man Arrested after Allegedly Stealing Over 10,000 Baht of Food and Drinks From a Supermarket in Phuket

A Polish man was arrested after he was caught allegedly stealing food and drinks costing 13,376 Baht at a supermarket in Rawai, Phuket.

The Chalong Police told the Phuket Express that on Wednesday (February 7th) they arrested a 49-year-old Polish man at a supermarket in Rawai.

Seized from him were an avocado (119 Baht), a bottle of honey (225 Baht), a bottle of beer (119 Baht), a bottle of olive oil (279 Baht), two bottles of whisky (9,999 Baht and 2,099 Baht), butter (254 Baht) and a tea box (282 Baht).

He was taken to the Chalong Police Station to face charges of theft. His name was not released to the press nor were the specific details around his alleged actions.

The suspect did not release a statement to the media and it was not immediately known if he had a lawyer.
