Foreign Rider Tries to Break Chain Securing Illegally Parked Motorbike in Phuket – Video

A foreign motorbike rider was caught trying to break a chain which secured his illegally parked motorbike in Phuket Town.

The Phuket City Police told the Phuket Express that on Tuesday (January 30th) that the incident occurred on January 23rd but it went viral on social media this week. A concerned citizen recorded a video of the foreign rider trying to break the chain that locked his motorbikes wheel while parked at a white-red no parking area.

The Phuket City Traffic Police quickly arrived at the scene. Police asked the foreign rider to stop trying to break the chain but he continued to do so. It was unclear if he would have been able to get the chain off of the motorcycle completely but later video appeared to show that he did.

On January 24th, the foreign rider was summoned to the Phuket City Police Station. He was fined for parking at a no parking area. However, personal details of the foreign rider was not released by police.

The foreign rider viewed himself on the video and apologised to the police and promised not to do it again. He also asked on social media for a chance to be a good tourist in the future who follows traffic rules.
