Phuket –

The Bentley sedan that was being driven around Pattaya with a lion cub in the passenger seat was originally registered in Phuket.

Our previous story:

The Thai National Parks Department is launching an investigation into a foreign man who was spotted driving through the street of Pattaya in a Bentley, accompanied by what appears to be a lion cub in the back seat.

Now for the update:

Mr. Atthaphon Charoenchansa, the Director-General of the Department of National Parks, told Thai media that the Bentley Continental GTC open roof luxury sport sedan is registered to a car company in Phuket. The driver is believed to be a Sri Lanka man.

However, officers are checking with the car company in Phuket about anyone who may have rented or purchased the Bentley from them.
