Eight teenagers attacked another two teens in Wichit while recording a video clip before posting it on social media earlier this week.
The Wichit Police told the Phuket Express that the incident started on Monday late at night (January 22nd) until the early morning on Tuesday (January 23rd). The two teenagers that were attacked were identified only as Mr. Chalermphon, 18 and Mr. Taksanai. They both filed a report to the Wichit Police following the incident.
On Wednesday (January 24th) all eight teen suspects have surrendered to police. They are facing charges of bodily assault. Personal details about the eight teenagers were not released by relevant police.
One of the suspects, aged 18, reportedly told police that the other party had allegedly sexually assaulted their two female friends, aged only 12 and 14, after they were drunk. This made the suspects angry and caused them to start the fight.
However, as of press time, relevant police are continuing their investigation over the counter allegation of the sexual assault.
