Twelve People Arrested in Phuket for Cockfighting Gambling

Twelve people were arrested in Thalang after they were found watching a cockfighting program and gambling.

Administrative Officers from the Thalang District Office told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they and the Thalang Police arrested 12 suspects at a house in the Sri Soonthorn sub-district.

They were found watching a cockfighting match on a television and gambling. They were taken to the Thalang Police Station. They are facing charges of participating in illegal gambling (cockfighting via television).

The house owner is facing additional charges of operating an illegal gambling operation.
