Russian Suspected of Being Illegal Tour Guide at Temple in Chalong

Chalong –

A Russian is suspected of acting as an illegal tour guide at a temple in Chalong.

Officers from the Tourism and Guide Office and the Phuket Tourist Police inspected the Phra Yai Temple (Big Buddha Temple) in Chalong, Mueang Phuket.

Officers checked tour guide registrations and a Thai tour guide was found with no license card while working as a tour guide. Meanwhile a Russian national was found and is suspected of acting as an illegal tour guide. However, officers did not have enough evidence to arrest the Russian. Both of them have had their details recorded in the Immigration system, however.
