Omura Whale Sighted in Krabi – Video

An Omura whale has been spotted near an Island in Krabi.

The Hat Noppharat Thara Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park reports that on Thursday (January 18th) they found two Omura whales, one big and one small, near Bi Da Island in the national park area.

The Omura whale was first discovered by the Japanese scientist Hideo Omura 20 years ago and was then named after him. It is at risk of extinction and is listed as a protected Mammal in Thailand.
