Three Million Tourists Visited Samui Island in 2023

Samui Island, Surat Thani –

More than three million people visited Samui Island which generated more than 37 Billion Baht in revenue last year, said Samui tourism authorities.

The Samui Tourism and Sports Office reported that that there were 3,185,000 tourists who visited Samui Island from January to November last year which generated a total of 37 billion Baht. Most of the foreign tourists were from Germany, the United Kingdom, Israel, France and Russia.

Tour Operators said tourists like marine tourism, diving, and sunbathing. Other destination islands apart from Samui were Mu Ko Ang Thong, Tan Island and Mat Sum Island (Pig Island). However, there were not that many Chinese tourists who visited Samui Island in 2023.
