Domestic Disturbance Between Family Members Leaves One Person Dead and One Seriously Injured in Phuket

Phuket –

One person died while another person sustained severe injuries after a fight between family members in Wichit, Meuang Phuket.

The Wichit Police were notified of the incident at 8:30 A.M. on Thursday (January 18th) in Soi Mongkonsap. Police, emergency responders and the Phuket Express rushed to the scene.

They arrived at the scene to find the body of Mr. Watcharin Kaewprasap, 63, from Wichit. Five stab and slash wounds were found on his body. Nearby the rescue teams also found a blood stained knife. Mr. Pin Makkaew, 62, was found with slash wounds on his neck and was covered with blood. He had sustained severe injuries and he was rushed to a local hospital.

The Wichit Police Chief Colonel Chatree Choolaew told the Phuket Express that Mr. Watcharin was the brother of Mr. Pin’s wife. Both of them had argued before about personal problems and both men lived near each other. On Thursday they came out from their houses and had a road rage incident before the fighting started.

The situation is still under investigation as of press time.
