Dolphin Rescued From Fishing Net in Trang – Video

A dolphin has been rescued after getting stuck in a fishing net in the Kan Tang district.

The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation reports that they were notified by the head of the Hat Chao Mai National Park, Mr. Sangsuree Soithong, that a dolphin had been found stuck in a fishing net near Mod Tanoi Beach in the national park area.

They and local fishermen helped to remove the fishing net from the dolphin which took about four hours. The teenaged dolphin was 1.7 meters long. Some scratches were found on the dolphin but it was still healthy. Some medicine was injected into the dolphin before it was released back into the sea.
