Seventeen Chinese Tourists Injured After Bus Overturns in Phuket

Seventeen Chinese tourists and three Thais sustained injuries after a tour bus overturned in Thalang.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident on Tuesday (January 16th) in the morning at a curve on the Thep Krasattri Road northbound in the Baan Bang Duk, Mai Khao sub-district.

They arrived at the scene to find the overturned bus on the road. Seventeen Chinese tourists, a Thai tour guide, a bus crew member, and the driver were found inside the bus. They had sustained various injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.

The Phuket Tourist Police told the Phuket Express that the tour bus was heading from Phuket to a pier in Phang Nga when the bus driver suddenly lost control at a curve. Police are continuing their investigation for consideration of further legal action.
