Prime Minister Lauds Phuket for Hosting Fourth Thailand Biennale

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has congratulated Phuket for hosting the fourth edition of the Thailand Biennale. He believes the southern town’s endeavor will enhance the region’s historical, cultural, and touristic visibility.

On the social media platform ‘X’, the Prime Minister remarked that he is pleased for the people of Phuket who will be the hosts of the fourth Thailand Biennale.

He noted that Phuket is emerging as an art city, having been declared a part of the Creative Cities Network, renowned for its art. This is reinforced by the strong local artist community, continuously creating art.

Additionally, the people of Phuket are keen to use art as a tourist attraction, leveraging their already well-known history, culture, and tourism appeal to both Thais and foreigners.

It is expected that the contemporary art festival will welcome numerous world-renowned artists to participate. Thailand Biennale is a biannual international contemporary art exhibition initiated by the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture under the Ministry of Culture.
