Nakhon Si Thammarat –

A suspect robbed a gold shop at gunpoint and then sped away with three gold items worth about more than half a million baht in the Tha Sala District, say police.

The Tha Sala Police told the Phuket Express that they were notified of the incident on Tuesday (January 9th) at a gold shop in the Tha Sala city.

Police arrived at the gold shop and reviewed CCTV footage appearing to show that the male suspect stopped his motorbike in front of the gold shop. The suspect, who was wearing a full-face helmet, then entered the shop and immediately robbed the shop using a gun. He took three gold items worth about 700,000 baht before speeding away. Police are still hunting for the suspect as of press time.

This was the second time this month, January 2024, that a suspect had robbed gold shops in the Tha Sala district. The first time the suspect was arrested within one hour.
