Malaysian Man Arrested in Phuket Seven Years After Allegedly Breaking Bail for Ketamine Related Charges

Phuket –

A Malaysian man was arrested at Phuket International Airport. He has been allegedly breaking his bail conditions for seven years after he was arrested with Ketamine.

Phuket Immigration told the Phuket Express that on Monday (January 8th) they had arrested the Malaysian man, 58, at the international arrival terminal of the Phuket Airport. He is being accused of illegal possession of Category 2 drugs (Ketamine).

He had allegedly been on the run for seven years after failing to report himself to the court after he was released on bail. He was taken back to the criminal court yesterday.

At this time, the suspect’s name has been withheld from the press. The Malaysian man has not released a statement to the press and it was unclear why he decided to fly back into Thailand after all this time and apparently fleeing previously over a natural land border.
