Fire Guts Three Wooden Boats near Phuket Pier

A fire gutted three old wooden boats near a pier in Rassada.

The Phuket City Police were notified of the fire on Wednesday (December 27th) morning near a pier in Rassada. Firefighters from the Rassada Municipality with a fire engine, the Phuket Marine Police, and the Phuket Express arrived at the scene to find some smoke coming out from boats.

It took about 15 minutes to control the fire. No one identified themselves as the boat’s owner and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still being investigated by the Forensic Police as of press time.
